My dear leaders, entrepreneurs, athletes, icons, titans, and lovers:
Early this morning, an unidentified group detonated a bomb during the 2018 State of the Union address. Our President, Vice President, Members of the Cabinet, Congressional Leaders, First Family and many more were killed immediately in this devastating attack. Without warning, this unknown band of criminals brought the United States to its knees and wiped out its governing body. You have all been brought here today because of your exceptional skills and your exceptional networks. You must work together, or perhaps against each other, to steady the ship and bring America out of its darkness and into the light. Issues you will face include those of political legitimacy, governmental stability, and economic prosperity. The American public eagerly awaits your response.
Letter from the Chair
Welcome to Designated Survivor at ILMUNC India!
My name is Laura Chu, and it is my pleasure to be your chair for what will surely be an exciting and memorable weekend. Your Secretariat and Staff have been working tirelessly, so look forward for what’s to come!
I am currently a sophomore at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. I’m unsure of what I will be concentrating in, but I am passionate about social entrepreneurship and public policy. I first got involved with Model United Nations in high school, where I competed for four years. I am now a member of Penn’s International Affairs Association as a member of the competitive travel team (Intercol) and a member of the ILMUNC Secretariat. Outside of Model UN, I love to explore coffeeshops in Philly, watch corgi butt videos, and spend time with others trying new restaurants in the city.
I am very excited to hear your ideas and to see you all collaborate and debate on the issues, but most importantly, I hope you have fun doing so. In the months leading up to the conference, please feel free to reach out to me at email@example.com or any other members on the Secretariat with questions or concerns. I can’t wait to see you all!
